What Easter Means to Me

Easter is a perfect time to spend with friends, family and loved ones. It’s a time of Bank Holidays, sunny days, and let’s do absolutely nothing days. But it’s also a time of reflection. A time to look back and be thankful for what we’ve had. A time to look forward and plan for the days ahead to be even better.

I’m a terrible Christian in the sense that I’ve never completed a successful Lent. In fact, I don’t even pretend I’ll try anymore because I know I’ll fail. But imagine if we took that attitude to every decision in life… who’d ever achieve anything? Yet, as another opportunity to make a success of Lent passes I wake up with a fresh sense of determination to not let another day go by where I don’t try, just in case I don’t quite make a success of it… whatever ‘it’ is. Today I’ll reread my 2017 Resolutions post as a reminder of the goals I set for myself this year. I’m on a mission to not let another day shall pass without working towards achieving what I purposed this year to be!

So, as I prepare for a day full of celebrations, family and most probably far too much food, I hope that your Easter Sunday will be full of love, laughter and an opportunity to achieve what you were put on this planet to do.
